Find an old bike and get creative!

Art will be on display at the Bower Center through the Bedford's Finest Fare on September 9th.​​
There will also be a map of locations for each bike up until Bedford Parks and Rec Dept's Taste of the Trails event September 29th, then they will be relocated to: Falling Creek Park, 1257 County Farm Rd, Bedford, VA 24523 and up for auction.

SEPT 29

Silent Auction will be conducted on Saturday, from

10 a.m.–1 p.m. at Bedford Parks and Rec’s

Taste of the Trails at Falling Creek Park, 1257 County Farm Rd, Bedford VA. Art bikes will be sold to the highest bidder with the proceeds benefiting Bower Center for the Arts.

 

WHO CAN ENTER?

The exhibition is open to individuals, groups, clubs, or individuals who may collectively want to enter an artsy bike.

 

Work must be original in concept and design.

 

Use a bike which at one time was functional and

transform it. Suggestions include: applied images, mixed media, paint, mosaiced with tiles or found objects. Bikes may be created as a fine art piece or may continue to be utilitarian.

TYPES OF BIKES ELIGIBLE:

Tricycle, Bicycle (youth/ adult size), Unicycle, Tandem,

or Vintage
