Summer Arts Camp 2017

Bower Center for the Arts has planned three arts camps this summer. The first is a Tech Camp: Photography, Computers and Design, the second is A Playful Exploration of 3D Materials: Exploring, Building and Creating and the third is a coordination of Bower Center and Claytor Nature Studies Center.

Please note: Claytor Nature Study Center has it’s own release forms. When registering your child(ren) for Nature Arts, and Science, use those forms.

Grades 6 - 8 Tech Camp: Photography, Computers and Design
June 19 - June 23, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM

Karen Nuzzo, art teacher and fabric artist and Lori Stetson, painter and wire sculptor will work with children from 2nd to the 5th grades to create exciting three dimensional designs and objects. Ms. Nuzzo helped children last summer design and create amazing wooden figures and Ms. Stetson lead a group creating flying figures from pipe cleaners.
Grades 3 - 6 Nature, Arts and Science
July 24 - July 28, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Registration fee: $200
13 students maximum
A coordinated camp with Claytor Nature Study Center and Bower Center for the Arts. At Claytor, adventurers will get down and dirty while learning about the diversity of plants and animals in the center’s woodlands, grasslands, freshwater streams, and beautiful stretch of the Big Otter River. Returning to Bower Center, the students will celebrate nature in their art projects. Parents will be invited to visit Claytor Nature Study Center on Friday afternoon.
