Meet the Judge - Allen TenBusschen

 

Allen TenBusschen was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He received his MFA in painting from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a BFA from Brigham Young University - Idaho. Allen currently teaches painting and drawing at the University of Lynchburg. He is locally represented by Steven Francis Fine Art in Lynchburg, Virginia. Allen has cultivated a robust exhibition record, with shows in New York City, Boston, Detroit; winning numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. With a focus on Realism, Allen’s practice is about the search for authenticity, in our perceptions of one another and the spaces we inhabit.
