heARTworks is a vibrant outreach initiative by the Bower Center for the Arts, dedicated to fostering creativity, connection, and personal growth through the power of art. Designed for youth & adults with disabilities, seniors, and more, heARTworks brings engaging, hands-on art experiences to those in and around the Bedford Community.

Through guided activities that inspire imagination and self-discovery, participants explore various art forms while developing fine and gross motor skills, enhancing social connections, and building confidence. Currently we proudly serve groups at Harmony Day Support, Centra Bedford Adult Day Center, and Centra PACE, bringing the joy of art directly to these communities. Whether painting, sculpting, or crafting, each session is a joyful opportunity to create, share, and celebrate the unique artistic voices of every individual.

With the growing recognition of the arts as a powerful tool for emotional healing Bower Center is excited to expand our heARTworks Program in 2026 to incorporate healing arts initiatives that support emotional well-being for children, families, individuals, and military personnel. We look forward to offering therapeutic, art-based experiences that promote well-being and resilience for those in our community who need it most.

At heARTworks, we believe that art has the power to uplift, empower, and bring people together—one brushstroke at a time.
